Werrington’s history goes back to a land grant in 1806 and a homestead later leased to colonial premier Henry Parkes, but the suburb as it stands today was mostly built out in one push from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s. That makes it another one of those Penrith suburbs where almost every home is the same vintage.
At roughly 40 to 50 years old, these are exactly the switchboards I’d expect to still be running ceramic fuses with no safety switches, worth a proper look rather than waiting for something to trip.
