Why Shotskies exists
I started Shotskies for a pretty simple reason: I wanted to do the work properly and stand behind it. I’d seen how a lot of the bigger outfits ran, a different apprentice every visit, a call centre that didn’t know your job, and a quote that quietly grew once the walls came off. I reckoned there was a better way to look after people’s homes.
So I went out on my own. Ten years on, it’s still just me. I quote your job, I do your job, and I’m the one you call if it ever needs a second look. You always know who’s turning up tomorrow, because it’s me.
I do it all, from a single power point to a full switchboard, from a bedroom split system to whole-home ducted, and the smart home automation more homes want now, lighting, air con, gates and blinds, all run from one app.
I won’t pretend I love the paperwork. But a tidy switchboard, a cool house on a 40-degree day, and a customer who knows exactly what they paid for and why? That’s a good day’s work.
